The best way we can describe it is like a really fast hole punch. Within the metal guard, the tool oscillates up and down and in doing so pinches away at the material bit by bit, depositing it into a dust collection tray.

The ChompSaw is designed for kids aged 5 and up. There’s no risk of cutting fingers and hair and clothing won’t get stuck.

Absolutely! As of September 2024, the ChompSaw has successfully passed rigorous safety testing for multiple certifications, including ASTM F963-11 and the Children’s Product Certificate (CPC).

Yes! We’ll start by offering replacement cutting heads, which will be available on our website beginning in March. Our testing shows you’ll rarely need a replacement, but it will be there just in case!

The ChompSaw was designed for cardboard but should be able to handle most materials thinner and softer than 3mm thick cardboard. However, since our usability and durability testing focused exclusively on cardboard, we can’t guarantee the tool’s performance with other materials. If you experiment with harder materials, keep in mind that replacement cutting heads will be available on our website in March!
Important: Do not attempt to cut metal with the ChompSaw! While the cutting mechanism may resemble some sheet-metal tools, the ChompSaw’s design prioritizes cardboard safety and performance, making it unsuitable and unsafe for metallic materials.

The ChompSaw measures approximately 10 inches long, 10 inches wide, and 4 inches tall, with a weight of 5.5 lbs.

The power cord is stored under the lid of your ChompSaw. Simply lift the lid to locate it!

Right now, we’re only capable of shipping within the United States & Canada because of different safety certifications and voltage requirements in other countries.

If you ordered a ChompSaw on our website through Shopify, you will be able to change your address from your confirmation email as long as the product has not shipped out yet.
- Locate your order confirmation email or text, which should contain a link to the order confirmation page.
- On the order confirmation page, if prompted to log in to see the full order details, enter your email address tied to the order and your order number. Order number can be found in the original confirmation email or text.
- After logging in, click “Update Shipping Address”
- Enter your new address details, then click “Save”

Here’s a link to our application form for donations! We created this in case we get the bandwidth to donate our ChompSaws in the future. We can’t guarantee that your school will receive a table, we will be trying our best to get as many donations out there as we can!
Refunds & Returns

You can cancel your order as long as it was placed through Shopify, and as long as the item has not yet shipped. You can do this yourself from the order confirmation email or text, following the below steps:
- Locate your order confirmation email or text, which should contain a link to the order confirmation page.
- On the order confirmation page, if prompted to log in to see the full order details, enter your email address tied to the order and your order number. Order number can be found in the original confirmation email or text.
- After logging in, click “Cancel order now”
- Follow the prompts to complete cancellation process.
Refunds will process to your original payment method. If you have any issues with this process, reach out to hello@chompshop.com for support.

Unopened, Unused Product Returns (Change of Mind): If you have not opened or used your ChompSaw and wish to return it within 14 days of receiving it, we’re happy to accept the return.
Opened, Used Product Returns (Defective Product): If you’ve opened and used your ChompSaw and are experiencing issues, please contact us. We’ll assign your case to one of our engineers who will work with you to diagnose and do their best to resolve the problem remotely before further steps are taken.

We do not offer a warranty on ChompShop products at this time. However, we will sell replacement parts for shipped ChompSaw units. If you are having issues with your product, you can always reach out at hello@chompshop.com for help!
