Supporting Children and Families in Minnesota

Today, our team at Chompshop is making a company donation of $10,000 to organizations in Minnesota that are supporting children, families, and schools during a time of fear and disruption.

We believe that every kid should have access to education, every kid should feel safe where they live, and no child should have to worry about being separated from their family. When communities are under stress, especially children and educators, we believe it’s important to show up with care and tangible support.

Organizations We’re Supporting

Our donation will be distributed across the following organizations, each of which is doing direct, on-the-ground work to support Minnesota families:

  • Hopkins Strong Relief Fund
Supporting families in the Hopkins School District by providing food and essential resources to households that are staying home due to increased ICE activity.
  • Abundance Therapy Fund
Provides free therapy for BIPOC individuals experiencing race-based trauma. The fund is organized by an art therapist named Cassie and centers healing, dignity, and access to care.
  • Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota
Offers legal support and representation to individuals detained by ICE, helping families navigate complex and intimidating legal processes.
  • Advocates for Human Rights
A long-standing organization providing legal advocacy and support for people whose rights are at risk, including those impacted by immigration enforcement.
  • Crayon Kelly Experience
A local art gallery and community art center creating and delivering creative healing art kits directly to families in need. Their work focuses on using art as a tool for emotional processing, connection, and care.
  • Minneapolis Families for Public Schools
An organization that works to protect and strengthen public education across Minnesota, advocating for policies and resources that ensure all students can learn in safe, supported school environments.
  • CLUES
Provides culturally responsive services for Latino communities in Minnesota, including education support, health and wellness programs, workforce development, and family resources.

For additional ways to support Minnesota communities, we encourage you to visit www.standwithminnesota.com, which aggregates local resources, mutual aid efforts, and organizations doing critical work right now.

Immigrants and immigrant families are an essential part of our communities, including our maker community. If we didn’t have immigrants, you wouldn’t have the ChompSaw!

More importantly, we believe that children deserve stability, safety, and the freedom to learn and grow without fear. Our hope is that this contribution helps families access food, care, creative outlets, and legal support.

We stand with kids, families, and educators, always.
