A Must-Have for Every Toolbox: The Scoring Tool!

Don’t underestimate this small but mighty tool! Use the straight tip to score clean, easy-to-fold lines in your cardboard, or switch to the curved side to press down thicker pieces that won’t fit through your ChompSaw’s cutting head. Just squish along your cut line, and voilà— you're ready to cut your cardboard!

Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, it works best to hold the scoring tool in your hand like a pencil.

Not much! Gently press the edge into cardboard and drag it in a straight line to create easy-to-fold creases.

You can also use the rounded edge to compress thicker pieces of cardboard that won’t fit through the ChompSaw’s cutting gap - just press and drag along your cut line!

Removing layers of cardboard is AWESOME for creating cool textures and making pieces more flexible. Just...

  1. Stick the pointy tip of your scoring tool under the top surface of a cardboard sheet.
  2. Slide the scoring tool along the corrugation, carefully peeling the
    layers apart.
