Is this bundle a good gift for someone who has never used a ChompSaw before?

It's the perfect place to start! The Explorer’s Bundle was designed specifically for first-time inventors ages 5 and up. Every Explorer’s Club project comes with visual instructions and a video tutorial, and the Blueprint Kit makes it easy to attach patterns to cardboard. No experience is needed to get building right away!

Can I cancel the Explorer’s Club subscription that comes with this bundle?

Yes! You can cancel anytime through your subscription portal. The Explorer’s Bundle includes a 3-month prepaid Explorer’s Club subscription, so your projects will continue to arrive through the end of your prepaid period. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not cut off your remaining deliveries.

Can my younger child use the Explorer’s Bundle too?

The Explorer’s Bundle is designed for ages 5 and up, but the ChompSaw itself is certified safe for kids ages 3 and up. Younger siblings are welcome to build alongside with a little extra guidance. If you have a child under 5, we recommend starting with simple shapes until they are comfortable with the ChompSaw.

How loud is the ChompSaw?

The ChompSaw runs at about 70–75 decibels, which is roughly the volume of a household vacuum. We've done the proper safety testing to ensure our machine is safe for kids' ears, but understand that the noise can feel a little loud.

If your child is sensitive to sound, we recommend using ear protection to make the experience more comfortable. A lot of kids actually love wearing safety gear like earmuffs and goggles. We've found it helps them feel like real builders and makes teaching power tool safety a fun part of the process!
